From the desk of Rex Mortar:
I’m Hank Mortar, and I’m a University-educated redneck. What criteria can be used to determine what gender someone is for the purpose of passing laws regarding the use of locker rooms, restrooms, and showers?
There presently is no set criteria other than someone wanting to. If I decide I want to be female, dress like a woman, then I should be able to use the woman’s restroom. That’s it. People will argue that transgender people see doctors and counselors; that one does not simply decide to become the other gender.
So, let’s say a transgender and a pervert both use the ladies room at the same time. One of the two can be arrested but the other has some civil right to do so. Are the police going to evaluate medical and counseling records to determine the legitimacy of a transgender?
NO! The police will ignore any complaint of someone using the incorrect restroom. Then it’s a free-for-all! All laws regarding gender and the use of restrooms will become inert, because there is no way to enforce them. If the guy says he’s transgender, the police cannot prove it one way or the other, because there is no proof!
And what about locker rooms and showers? But you can prove anatomy. So let’s just leave it at that.
Forty-times as many high-school students as adults feel they are a different gender than their anatomical one. Clearly many adolescents experience gender confusion temporarily, and by acting their anatomical gender the issue is resolved.
It’s is by no means good to pander to the whim of adolescents. The vast majority will turn out normal if they are given the proper structure and feedback.
The issue of gender reassignment is moot since there really is no such thing. The most prolific American surgeon in this field discovered that half of his gender-reassignment patients had committed suicide! Gender reassignment promises what it cannot deliver. The let down is immense.
The entire purpose and justification for gender-reassignment procedures is to prevent suicide! But after the patient places their hopes in medicine, he/she soon realizes that it’s a lie. A man is not made into a woman, and a woman is not made into a man. This causes despair! It would be better for the individual to learn to live with himself the way he was made, because that’s all he’s got.
A large part of gender is the role one plays in reproduction. Gender identity is rooted in this. And it cannot be changed. That’s the lie of transgenderism. It’s deceit meant to confuse the innocent and then destroy their hopes for a happy life.
It’s very sad. But we don’t have to make things worse. Some people say gender is something different than the role one plays in reproduction. But it’s not. The definition of gender is the role one plays in reproduction. It’s OK for someone to feel like a different gender. It’s not the end of the world!
There are many burdens in life much greater, and people can live with those. Life is difficult at times. We all have to live it. Everyone has to make the best of what he/she has been given.
You can’t just cater to every whim. I might briefly want to kill someone, but I don’t, because it’s wrong, and I have morals. It’s wrong to act like a gender other than the one assigned by God.
