George Floyd Homicide Investigation

I’m Hank Mortar, and I’m a University-educated redneck. I don’t watch news all that much. But I heard about Black Lives Matter protesting the police murder of George Floyd, who suffocated by a compressed windpipe, because a policeman knelt on his neck.

Shiver me timbers! That sent chills down my spine! I didn’t want to go outside! I went to YouTube.com to watch the policecam videos, and I wanted to raise Hell!

My son asked me why I was so angry. I explained that the police killed a black man, who kept saying, “I CANT BREATHE! I CAN’T BREATHE!” over and over, until he went limp! The policeman was kneeling on the victim’s neck, and cut off his oxygen supply!

My son is 4, so he sees things like a kid. He said, “I don’t think the cop killed the man.”

I was almost pissed! But I said, “Why Not?”

“I guess anyone can try it. Try to say something without breathing.”

Kids nowadays . . ., Anyways, I looked into it, and it turns out, people who can’t breathe cannot verbally communicate that fact. Even slight pressure on the windpipe causes noticable distortion in the voice.

So, I guess he could breathe, but he felt like he couldn’t breathe. I looked further, and the victim’s toxicology screen showed a high level of Fentanyl and its metabolites, in comparison to other overdose victims.

Fentanyl has a side effect of wooden chest, where the rib cage contracts over a period of time, making it progressively more difficult to breathe, until inhalation becomes impossible.

But I really wonder about the rent-a-coroners who judged the death a homicide by asphyxiation, based on video footage! You might think doctors would know about that, ‘I can’t breathe’ thing.
